2006: As a freshman, right-handed pitcher Megan Dennis made 20 starts in 34 appearances in the circle, striking out 46 batters in 71.0 innings of action. Dennis twirled two complete games, including the Tigers' only no-hitter of the year, March 11, at home against Mississippi Valley State. After rain pushed back the start of the game to 8 p.m., 412 fans were on hand to watch Dennis help the Tigers improve to 12-7 on the season after shutting out the Lady Devils, 10-0, in six innings at the second annual Tiger Invitational. Altogether, Dennis combined to shut out five teams. Dennis' first collegiate start came in Missouri's season-opener Feb. 10 against 2005 ACC Champions Georgia Tech with her first save recorded April 14 against Big 12 opponent Oklahoma State.

Liberty High School: A three-time First Team All-District, First Team All-Metro, First Team All-Sectional, First Team All-Regional and First Team All-State selection at Liberty High School, Dennis was named First Team All-Suburban her senior year (2005). As a senior (2005), Dennis and her team claimed the State Championship, while she earned MVP honors. Dennis was the captain of the Bluejays softball team her junior (2004) and senior (2005) campaigns and held the highest batting average both seasons. In 2004, Dennis was name the Gatorade Player of the Year and All-Metro Sports Player of the Year. Among her other accomplishments, Dennis was named the CMSU MVP. Dennis was on the Honor Roll twice and earned six letters while participating in varsity softball (four) and track (two) at Liberty High School.

Personal: Megan Dennis was born Feb. 26, 1987, in Liberty, Mo., to David and Teresa Dennis. Megan has two sisters, Mandi (18) and Madison (14). A business management major, Dennis would like to start her own business after graduating.
