CAREER HONORS

  • 2014-15 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll

FRESHMAN (2015)

  • Appeared in 34 games, including one start in her first season at Mizzou
  • Proved to valuable weapon on the basepaths, scoring nine runs and going a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases
  • Stole a career-high two bases in the series-clinching win over LSU (April 26), swiping home on the back end of a
    double steal to score the ninth run of her career
  • Roped her first career hit vs. Arkansas (April 18), lifting an RBI single to right
  • Got her first career start and a career-high three ABs as the DP against SEMO (March 11)
  • Came in to pinch run when the international tiebreak rule came into play vs. Penn State (Feb. 27) and scored the
    go-ahead run on a double in the eighth inning
  • Called on to pinch run twice during Mary Nutter Classic (Feb. 19-21), and came around to score in both opportunities
  • Stole second base and came around to score her first collegiate run vs. Chattanooga (Feb. 13), aiding
    in the Tigers’ 6-1 win

HIGH SCHOOL (COLUMBUS)

  • Batted leadoff for Columbus and head coach Chad Mathis as a senior in 2013, hitting .410 with a .752 slugging percentage
  • Broke the career home run record at Columbus, along with season records for hits, runs scored and home runs
  • Named to the Georgia Dugout Club All-State Team following her final high school campaign, along with all-West Georgia honors
  • Helped power Columbus to back-to-back Class AAAA Region championships as a junior in 2012 and senior in 2013
  • Also named to the Dugout Club's Elite 80, recognizing the top 80 softball players in the state
  • Participated in basketball for Columbus as a freshman in 2010 before focusing solely on softball
  • Played for Georgia Peaches Gold club team
  • Batted .530 with a stout .800 slugging percentage during the 2013 travel season with head coach Leo Valero

PERSONAL

  • Daughter of Ray and Sonya Sprague, with an older brother, Kyle
  • National Honor Society, National Latin Honor Society and a member of the Beta Club while in high school
  • Was active in musical theatre as a high school student
  • Served as a local Special Olympics volunteer throughout middle school and high school
  • Intends to major in special education at the University of Missouri
