Evan Hamed is in his third year with the Mizzou men’s basketball program and his first as the team’s assistant director of basketball operations.
A native of Owego, New York, Hamad was a graduate assistant with the Tigers during the 2024-25 cand 2025-26 campaigns. Mizzou eclipsed 20 wins and earned bids to the NCAA Tournament in both of his seasons as a graduate assistant with the program earning double-digit SEC wins in back-to-back seasons for the first time in team history.
Prior to his time at Mizzou, Hamed spent four years with the Alfred University basketball program, including his final two as a student assistant. The Saxons won 22 games in 2022-23 and won the ECAC Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Hamed earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Alfred in 2024 and his master’s in education from Missouri in 2026.
