- Had an excellent prep career under Doug Rogers at Chemainus Secondary High School
- Lead CSHS to a 30-12 season and second in Province his senior year
- Hit .370 with four home runs and 42 RBI his senior year
- Earned Team MVP with the Nanaimo Pirates in 2015
