SOPHOMORE (2018)

  • Hit .250 as Mizzou’s every day shortstop, playing in 48 games while starting 47.
  • Tallied five doubles and a homer while driving in 23 and scoring 25 more.
  • Fielded at a .975 clip with just six errors on the year, but had just three errors in the first 43 games of the year.
  • He committed 16 errors and as a freshman as he improved his fielding to rank among the top shortstops in the SEC as a sophomore.
  • Cut his strikeout total from 50 as a freshman to just 31 as a sophomore and reached base at a .339 clip, seven points higher than his freshman season despite hitting 10 points lower.
  • Posted a career-high six RBI while going 3-for-6 with a run, a double and a walk at Iowa (5/1).
  • Hit his only homer of the season against Georgia (5/4), a solo shot to center.
  • Posted six multi-hit games on the year and drove in multiple runs four times.
  • At one point, he reached base in 12 straight games, tied for the fourth-longest streak on the team in 2018.

FRESHMAN (2017)

  • Won Mizzou’s everyday starting job at shortstop as a true freshman, the first Tiger freshman to start the majority of Mizzou’s games at short since Andrew Thigpen in 2008
  • Named SEC Freshman of the Week following a red-hot weekend against South Carolina as he had a pair of huge hits that helped Mizzou complete come-from-behind wins over the Gamecocks … All four of his hits in that series went for extra-bases
  • With Mizzou trailing, 3-1, in the Saturday game with the Gamecocks (5/13), he ripped a double off the wall in center to cut the lead to 3-2 and eventually scored the game-tying run two batters later … On Sunday with Mizzou trailing 3-2, he ripped a leadoff double off the wall in right to spark a three-run inning that helped Mizzou claim the series win
  • Scored 25 runs and drove in 31, the first Mizzou true freshman with more than 30 RBIs in a season since 2010
  • Finished tied for second on the team with 10 multiple RBI games on the year and had 12 multi-hit games as well
  • Posted a career-high three hits on three separate occasions, including in his first collegiate game against Eastern Michigan (2/17) … Also had three hits against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (4/12) and Kentucky (4/15)
  • Had three consecutive games with two RBI against Illinois-Chicago (3/5), Eastern Illinois (3/7) and Western Carolina (3/8)
  • Hit .351 (13-for-37) with eight of those 13 hits going for extra bases over the final 10 games of the season, nine of which came against SEC teams … That raised his average from .236 to .260 by the end of the year
  • Hit a homer in the SEC Tournament win over Texas A&M (5/23)
  • His first Division I homer came against Illinois-Chicago (3/5)

HIGH SCHOOL (VIANNEY)

  • Standout infielder for head coach Scott Brown at Vianney High School in St. Louis
  • 2016 Perfect Game All-American Honorable Mention
  • Rated as the Class of 2016 No. 1 shortstop prospect in the state of Missouri according to Perfect Game and Prep Baseball
  • Owns six Vianney career records (total bases, runs, RBI, doubles, batting, hits) and was a four-year varsity starter
  • Finished his career as a .375 hitter with two homers and 94 RBI while slugging 33 doubles
  • Hit .380 with a homer and 21 RBI as a senior
  • Was the MCC batting champion in 2014 with two single season high school records (average, hits)
