2017

  • Led Mizzou in batting average in his first year with the program, hitting .327 in 38 games and 98 at-bats
  • Slugged four homers and six doubles while driving in 21 runs and scoring 14 more as Mizzou’s back-up catcher
  • Slugged a team-best .510 with a team-leading .427 OBP, leading the team with a .937 OPS
  • Drove in a career-high five runs while going 2-for-4 with a run, a double and three walks vs. Eastern Michigan (2/18)
  • Hit his first Division I homer against Appalachian State (3/12) and posted a career-high three hits in that win
  • In the SEC Tournament, hit a pair of homers on two pitches as a ninth-inning pinch hitter against both LSU (5/24) and South Carolina (5/25)
  • Mizzou was 12-2 in games when he started at catcher and he finished the year with eight multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games

2016 Fall

  • Went 2-for-22 and finished the fall with seven walks over seven games, second-most on the team, good for a .310 OBP.
  • Had a double, RBI and a three runs scored as Gold’s starting catcher

Before Mizzou

  • Joins Mizzou after a successful career at Miami Dade College where he developed a great bat to go along with a solid catching game.
  • Under the direction of head coach Danny Price, he helped lead Miami Dade to a playoff appearance as a sophomore, hitting .385 with four homers and 45 RBI as the team’s everyday catcher.
  • Earned All-Conference honors as a sophomore at Miami Dade.
  • Played for Christopher Columbus High School and head coach Joe Weber in Miami where he boasted a .400 career average with six homers.
  • As a high school senior, he hit .425 with four homers and 50 RBI, guiding Columbus to a state semifinal and regional final appearance.
  • Honorable mention All-American, All-State and All-County honoree as a senior.
