  • Hit his second homer just three games later, a game-tying two-run shot in his hometown at Hoover Met Park in Mizzou’s SEC Tournament-opening win over Texas A&M (5/23)
  • Posted six doubles in his first eight Division I games, including knocking a career-high two in Mizzou’s win over No. 25 Houston (2/24)
  • Had a career-high three hits with a pair of RBI and two runs scored against Chicago State (3/15) and actually had seven at-bats in that game, also a career-high

BEFORE MIZZOU

  • Played for head coach Will Smith at Spain Park High School in Birmingham, Ala., where he guided the team to a Class 6A state championship by hitting .281 with 15 stolen bases
  • Earned All-Metro honors and All-Over the Mountain honors in 2014
  • Graduated with cum laude honors
  • Continued his playing career at Meridian Community College under head coach Dillon Sudduth, guiding MCC to a second-place finish in its conference
  • Hit .352 as a sophomore with two homers, 13 doubles and 35 RBI
  • Finished his junior college career as a .356 career hitter with four homers, 24 doubles and 65 RBI
  • Second Team All-MACJC and Gold Glove nominee at second base in 2015
