- Had a successful career at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis under the direction of head coach Mason Horne
- Guided CBC to a second round appearance in the state playoffs as a senior, batting .390 with two homers and 40 RBI while going 6-3 with a 2.00 ERA and 50 strikeouts on the mound.
- All-State, All-Metro and All-Conference honoree in both baseball and football
- Proven winner who guided both the baseball and football teams to state tiles as a junior
