PRIOR TO MIZZOU
Began his collegiate career at Missouri State where he redshirted in 2023 … Pitched one season at State Fair CC before transferring to Georgia Southern prior to the 2025 season … Registered a 5-6 overall record in 32 appearances and 16 starts in two seasons at the DI level … Combined to throw 108.2 innings with 91 strikeouts and 51 walks with a 6.46 ERA across two years.
2026 (Georgia Southern): Finished the season with an 8.69 ERA across 58.0 innings of work ... Made 16 appearances with 14 starts and posted a 1-5 record ... Finished with the second-most innings pitched and strikeouts (57) on the squad of the season ... Allowed just one run in four innings against top-15 Clemson (3/10) en route to a 6-1 win, including three strikeouts ... Had his best outing of the season versus College World Series participant Troy (3/28), throwing five full scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and a season-high seven strikeouts ... Season-long outing came at Old Dominion (4/18), where he threw six full frames and allowed just three runs.
2025 (Georgia Southern): Finished his first year as an Eagle with a team-best 3.72 ERA among all pitchers who threw for more than five innings ... Posted a 4-1 record among 18 appearances and three starts, which all came later in the season ... Barely missed reaching the minimum requirement with his 58.8 innings pitched, but finished with the fourth-most strikeouts on the squad at 42 ... Held opponents to a .245 batting average while only giving up 24 earned runs ... Had his longest appearance of the season at Louisiana (4/27), posting 6.1 innings of scoreless work, giving up three hits and striking out two ... Had a season-high six strikeouts against top-10 ranked Clemson (4/1), as he gave up just one earned run against the Tigers in 4.1 innings ... Had six outings of more than one inning of not allowing an earned run.
2024 (State Fair CC): Made 12 starts on the mound during his lone JUCO season … Totaled 62.1 innings and recorded a 6.79 ERA with a 3-4 record overall … Struck out 63 and walked 33, averaging 9.1 strikeouts per nine … Threw five shutout innings with four strikeouts and just two hits allowed at Dallas College North Lake (2/15) … Earned a win in six innings of work versus John Wood CC, allowing two runs on six hits with eight strikeouts (2/23) … Tossed seven one-run innings versus Metropolitan CC, allowing five hits and striking out six to earn the win (4/4).
2023 (Missouri State): Made on appearance in his initial season, throwing one-third of an inning at Cal Poly (2/17) … Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL
DeGondea became the first all-state selection for Raymore-Peculiar HS since 2003 as a senior, earning first-team honors by going 6-3 with 50 strikeouts and a 2.45 ERA in 49 innings on the mound ... Led his team to back-to-back state quarterfinal appearances for the first time in program history his final two years, and he was named the team’s MVP as well as the best offensive and defensive player during his career ... Hit a go-ahead grand slam to help his team end a 25-game losing streak to Lee’s Summit West during his junior campaign … Was rated as the No. 2 LHP and No. 38 overall recruit in the state of Missouri ... Was named to First Team All-State, All-Conference and All-District teams in 2022 as a senior.
