Nick Parker joins the Tigers' baseball staff for the 2026 season as Director of Pitching Performance after concluding a five-year collegiate playing career followed by two seasons of pro ball.
A native of York, Pennsylvania, Parker played four seasons at Coastal Carolina, tallying 182 career strikeouts and a 2-0 record in NCAA Tournament starts. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in business management, he transferred to the University of Virginia for his final season in 2023, where he pitched under new Mizzou pitching coach Drew Dickinson. Parker posted an impressive 8-0 record in 16 starts on the mound during his lone season as a Cavalier, making him one of nine pitchers nationally with eight-plus wins and no losses.
Parker finished his career at Coastal Carolina with 40 starts on the mound - 15th-most in CCU history. He pitched over 300 innings during his collegiate career and put together a career record of 21-9 with a 4.49 ERA and 261 strikeouts.
In his two professional seasons with the Missoula Paddleheads in the Pioneer League, Parker started 26 games and notched over 130 strikeouts.
