Mitch Plassmeyer joined the Mizzou Baseball staff in summer 2021 as the Director of Player Development. He took over pitching coach duties in January 2022.
Over the course of the fall, Plassmeyer worked closely with the Tigers' pitching staff and will carry on the core ideals and practices implemented by mentor Brian DeLunas. Working closely with coach DeLunas, Plassmeyer helped implement an analytical and biomechanics focused training program for Mizzou pitchers.
Plassmeyer is a veteran in the pitching development and training field, spending nearly three years at Premier Pitching and Performance (P3) in St. Louis prior to his arrival at Mizzou. While there, Plassmeyer worked as a pitching trainer and as the Director of Remote Pitching before being elevated to the Director of Pitching in February.
A native of St. Louis, Plassmeyer played collegiately at Kansas State and Jefferson College before finishing his career at Bradley. Mitch is the brother of former Mizzou pitcher Michael Plassmeyer.
