Maya competed for Lutheran South HS...She was ranked 11th for the 2015 senior class in the outdoor 200m dash, and 17th for the 100m dash...A two-time MSHSAA Champion in the 400m dash (2013, 2015), she was also an eight-time MSHSAA All-State finisher during her high school career...She was second in both the 100m and 200m dashes in 2015, second in the 200m and 400m dashes in 2014, fourth in the 100m dash in 2014, second in the 100m and 200m in 2013, and sixth in the 100m dash in 2012...She was also competed at the 2013 and 2014 Great Southwest Classic, taking third in the 200m and eighth in the 100m in 2013.
