Outdoor Track – Opened the season by throwing a season-best mark in the discus at the CMU Open (March 17) with a throw of 31.72m (104-1) … Finished first in the javelin at the Tom Botts Invitational (April 20) with a throw of 53.69m (176-2) … Placed seventh in the decathlon at the SEC Outdoor Championships (May 11-12) with 6,569 points, posting season-best marks in the 100m hurdles (16.04) and javelin (55.55m/182-3).

• 2017 MSHSSA State Champion - Javelin

Jason competed at School of the Osage High School under the direction of Devin Johnson and Charlie Gordon … TRACK & FIELD … Placed fourth in the pole vault in 2015 as a sophomore, clearing 13-9 at the State Meet … As a junior, finished fifth in the pole vault (13-9) and runner-up in the javelin (148-9) at the Missouri State Track & Field Championships … Posted a high jump personal record at the Hillcrest Boys Invitational in 2017, jumping 6-6 … Jumped 14-7 in the pole vault at the 2017 Osage Invitational, a personal record … Led team to a 14^th-place finish at the 2017 Missouri State Track & Field Championships by scoring 19 individual points, finishing sixth in the high jump (6-3), third in the pole vault (14-6) and won a state title in the javelin with a personal record mark of 176-8.
