REDSHIRT SENIOR (2020-21)
- Wrestled to an impressive 6-2 during the 2020-21 season between dual and extra matches
- Recorded two bonus-point wins at the North Dakota State Quadrangular (1/3/21), winning by a 9-1 major decision and by fall (3:36)
- Had a big performance during extra matches at the Mizzou Tri-Dual (1/8/21), winning by fall (2:06) and a massive 16-0 technical fall (2:15)
REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2019-20)
- NCAA qualifier at 197 pounds after going 20-7 on the season, earning his first NCAA Championships berth, but did not get a chance to compete due to the COVID-19 pandemic
- Earned the nation’s No. 23 overall seed at the NCAA Championships after getting a wild card to the national tournament based on a strong regular season during which we went 19-5
- Went 12-4 in dual competition, with a 7-1 mark in MAC duals
- Tallied four bonus-point victories among his 20 on the year, with two major decisions, one technical fall and a pin
- Earned a 3-1 win over nationally-ranked Kordell Norfleet of Arizona State (Feb. 9)
- Claimed the Cougar Clash tournament title after going 3-0 at the event
- His first pin of the season came against Buffalo’s Sam Schuyler (Dec. 15), doing so in 6:54, improving to 10-1 at the time
- Won five consecutive MAC duals from Jan. 10-25
REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2018-19)
- Koelling finished the 2018-19 slate with a 20-10 overall record at 197 pounds, while also accomplishing a perfect 7-0 record in the MAC
- Was an alternate for the NCAA Championships at 197 pounds as he likely missed qualifying for the NCAA Tournament by just one win
- Achieved a fourth-place finish at the UNI Open, falling in a tightly contested match against fellow Tiger Taylor Watkins in the third-place match
- Won seven matches in a row throughout December and January, including two wins via fall
- Lost two tense matches to top six wrestlers Preston Weigel of Oklahoma State and Wiillie Miklus of Iowa State by scores of 4-1 and 4-0, respectively
- After tacking on 20 more victories, Koelling sits at 38 career wins with just 22 losses
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017-18)
- Produced a record of 18-12 (3-4 in duals) in first season as an attached wrestler, making appearances at 184, 197 and heavyweight for Mizzou throughout the year.
- Bumped up to the heavyweight starter near the end of the season, making four dual starts and an appearance at the MAC Championships for Mizzou.
- Defeated SIU Edwardsville’s Tommy Helton, 4-3, at heavyweight in dual competition (Feb. 14).
- Won the Roger Denker Open (Jan. 21) at heavyweight after a 4-0 performance that included two wins by fall over Lindenwood’s Blake Zalapi (4:59) and Central Missouri’s Ryan Morris (0:44).
- Went 4-2 at the Reno Tournament of Championships (Dec. 17), winning three matches by bonus points.
- Bumped up to 197 pounds to beat Old Dominion’s Noah Bushman, 4-0 in dual competition (Dec. 2).
- Recorded two falls and a major decision en route to a third place finish at the Lindenwood Open (Nov. 18).
- Made dual debut against Truman State’s Shane Gallagher (Nov. 12), pinning the Bulldog wrestler in 45 seconds.
- Opened the season with a second place finish at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open (Nov. 4), recording a fall in his opening bout over Jake Godinez (SIU Edwardsville).
FRESHMAN (2016-17)
- In redshirt season, went 12-9 while placing in two open tournaments
- Placed fifth at the Roger Denker Open (Jan. 22) after a record of 4-2 at the tournament, including a fall in 0:31 to claim fifth.
- Went 3-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 18), posting two wins by fall in the tournament.
- Placed third in the 197 pound amateur division at the Maryville Brand Kaufman Open (Nov. 12) following a 4-1 performance, including a first-period fall in the third-place match.
DAVIS HIGH SCHOOL (KAYSVILLE, UTAH)
- Recorded a 132-17 prep record, winning three Utah state championships as a sophomore, junior and senior.
- As a sophomore, placed second at three national tournaments; Folkstyle Nationals, Freestyle Nationals and USA Wrestling Greco Nationals.
- Won four national tournaments as junior; Reno Tournament of Champions, UWW Cadet Greco Roman, FloWrestling Greco Roman, Cadet PanAm Greco Roman.
- As a senior, won the Reno Tournament of Champions and was runner-up at UWW Greco Roman.
