REDSHIRT SENIOR (2017-18)

  • Closed his collegiate career with a record of 10-13 and a third appearance at the NCAA Championships.
  • Finished career with a record of 74-46, winning 10 matches by major decision, one by technical fall and two by fall.
  • Made his third straight appearance at the NCAA Championships (March 15) at 125 pounds, recording an 0-2 record.
  • Placed fourth at the MAC Championships (March 3-4), earning wins over Ohio’s Trevor Giollambardo by 18-8 major decision and Buffalo’s Kyle Akins, 8-7.
  • Captured the Lindenwood Open (Nov. 18) title at 125 pounds, knocking off No. 12-ranked Brock Hudkins (Northern Illinois) in the semifinals to advance to the finals.

REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2016-17)

  • Went 19-13 in redshirt junior season, reaching the NCAA Championships at 125 pounds for the second consecutive season
  • At the MAC Championships (March 4-5), went 2-2 to place fifth, including a 15-5 major decision victory over Old Dominion’s Steven Simpson.
  • Won both bouts at the U.S. Collegiate Championships (Feb. 19), defeating Northern Iowa’s Dylan Peters, 3-1 and Minnesota’s Skyler Petry, 3-1.
  •  Was crowned champion at the Edinboro Open (Feb. 4) after a 5-0 showing that including a 7-2 win over Lehigh’s Nick Farro.
  • Placed third at the DuHawk Open (Jan. 28) after a 3-1 performance, defeating Iowa State’s Danny Vega, 12-5 to claim third.
  • Opened the season with two dual wins on the same day (Dec. 20), defeating Kent State’s Cory Simpson, 3-2, and Appalachian State’s Vito Pasone by major decision, 11-3.

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2015-16)

  • Recorded a new career-high for wins with 24, going 24-9 on the season, 9-5 in dual competition, 5-1 in MAC duals and scoring 28 dual points.
  • Qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first time in his career, falling one win short of All-America status (March 18).
  • Captured the MAC Championship (March 6) at 125 pounds with a 9-5 win over No. 5 Dylan Peters (Northern Iowa). Recorded two major decisions on the way to the finals.
  • Earned 5-3 decision win over No. 12-ranked Tim Lambert (Nebraska) to help Mizzou defeat Nebraska in the NWCA National Duals Series (Feb. 21).
  • Posted a 5-2 decision win over No. 20-ranked Sean Fausz (N.C. State) (Feb. 14), his fourth consecutive victory in dual competition.
  • Earned a 9-4 win over No. 16-ranked Brent Fleetwood (Central Michigan) (Jan. 17) to help Mizzou extend its dual win streak to 37 consecutive wins.
  • Placed fourth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 5), posting a 5-2 record over the tournament. Earned four wins over ranked opponents, including his first career fall (6:04) over No. 7-ranked David Terao (American).
  • Won the championship at Joe Parisi Open (Nov. 21), defeating 2015 NCAA Championships runner-up Zeke Moisey (West Virginia) in the finals. Scored bonus points in three of four matches in the tournament, earning technical falls in the first and second round, and a major decision over Moisey in the championship match.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2014-15)

  • Took his redshirt season, following a successful first-year 2013-14 campaign in Mizzou.
  • Compiled a 14-5 overall record as unattached competitor.
  • Four of his 14 season wins resulted in bonus points, including one Major Decision and three Tech. Falls.
  • Competed in five tournaments this past season, highlighted by a Championship at 2015 Roger Denker Open.
  • Also placed 3rd at 2014 Harold Nichols Cyclone Open, 2nd at 2014 UCM Open, and 2nd at 2014 Joe Parisi Open.
  • Placed in four tournaments overall, T-2nd most among his Tiger teammates.
     
FRESHMAN (2013-14)
  • Kept his redshirt off for his freshman season, competing at 125 pounds for the Tigers in dual competition as well as in three tournaments.
  • His first collegiate win came at the North Dakota State dual over Hunter Weber, 5-2.
  • Earned a third-place finish at the Warren Williams/Daktronics Open, losing only one of his seven matches, 4-3.
  • Had a fourth place finish at the Joe Parisi Open.
  • Took third at the UNI Open after defeating Da'Wayne Robertson of Ellsworth in a rematch to earn his spot in the third-place match.
  • Competed at the 2014 MAC Championships where he finished in sixth place after picking up one win for the Tigers over Del Vinas of Kent State.
     
ROCK ISLAND HIGH SCHOOL (ROCK ISLAND, ILL.)
  • Posted a high school career record of 156-14.
  • Won the state title at 120 pounds his senior year.
  • Took second place at state at 113 pounds his junior year and third place at 103 pounds his sophomore year.
  • At the Fargo USA Wrestling Cadet Junior National Championships, in freestyle, placed sixth (2010), fourth (2011), and eighth (2012).
  • Also played football for the Rocks.

  • Was born to Barlow and Danielle McGhee on January 15, 1995 in Topeka, Kan.
  • Has two younger siblings - his sister Vilgie and brother Daniel.
