2011/2012:
Indoor Track- Earned a personal-best mark of 16.68m (54-8.75) in the weight throw at the Texas A&M Invitational, good for tenth-place...Also competed in the shot put at the Texas A&M Invite, placing sixth with a season-best throw of 14.10m (46-3)...Competed in the weight throw at the Big 12 Championships where she placed 13th overall with a mark of 16.41m (53-10).
Outdoor Track- Laura just missed repeating her personal-best mark of 15.09m (49-6) in the shot put with her season-best throw of 15.08m (49-5.75) at the ESU Mid-Week Open, good for second-place in the event...Threw a season-best mark of 52.13m (171-0.25) in the hammer throw at the Arkansas Spring Invitational to place tenth overall...Competed at the Big 12 Championships in the shot put and hammer throw, hitting marks of 14.62m (47-11.5) and 51.10m (167-7.75), respectively...Also qualified for the NCAA Championships Preliminary Round in the shot put, where she threw 14.06m (46-1.5).
2010/2011:
Indoor Track- Posted a season-best mark in the shot put of 14.69m (48-2.25) at the Big 12 Championships, placing 15th overall ... Notched a season-best mark of 16.28m (53-5) in the weight throw at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge where she place fifth overall ... Competed in the weight throw at the Big 12 Championships as well, placing 19th overall with a mark of 15.96m (52-4-25).
Outdoor Track- NCAA Championship Preliminary Round qualifier in the shot put after throwing a season and personal-best mark of 15.09m (49-6) at the Big 12 Championships, just missing an All-Big 12 honor ... Placed 27th at the NCAA Preliminary Round in the shot with a throw of 14.83m (48-7.75) ... Reset her personal-best in the hammer throw as well with a PR of 53.75m (176-4) at the Big 12 Championships, earning her eighth place and an All-Big 12 honor in the event.
2009/2010:
Indoor Track- Participated in the shot put and the weight throw at the Big 12 Championships for the Tigers, turning in throws of 13.63m (44-8.75) and 15.61m (51-2.75), respectively ... Tossed a season-best mark of 16.65m (54-7.5) in the weight throw at the Bill Bergan Invitational and hit a shot put personal-best mark of 14.00m (54-11.25) at the same meet.
Outdoor Track- NCAA First Round qualifier in the shot put after registering a personal-best toss of 14.50m (47-7) at the season-opening Missouri Relays ... Threw 13.83m (45-4.5) at the NCAA First Round ... Also competed in both the hammer throw and the shot put at the Big 12 Championships and turned in marks of 46.66m (153-1) and 13.93m (45-8.5), respectively ... Her second-best shot put mark of the season came at the Kansas Relays where she threw 14.30m (46-11) ... Her season-best in the hammer throw came at the Oregon Pepsi Invitational when she threw 48.35m (158-7), earning sixth overall.
High School:
Laura competed at Liberty HS for coaches Pam Koch, Adam Bolling, and Chris Choice...She was a three-time MSHSAA All-State performer in the shot put...She also competed in softball and basketball in high school...Was a four-year letterwinner in softball and earned All-District and All-Conference honors...Was a two-year letterwinner in basketball...High School bests are 42-1 (shot put), 127-9 (discus).
