Biography
2014-15:
- Finished his initial season wearing the Black & Gold with the highest scoring average (9.1) for a Mizzou freshman since the 2006-07 season when Keon Lawrence averaged 9.7 points per game.
- Scored in double digits 13 times out of 27 game appearances, with his season-best 21 points coming in his collegiate debut vs. UMKC (Nov. 14).
- Dropped home two or more three-pointers in eight different games, including a season-best four treys against Oral Roberts (Nov. 19) and Chaminade (Nov. 26).
- Averaged 11.5 points per game through Mizzou's non-conference schedule (13 games) before a back injury sidelined him for the first three games of Southeastern Conference action.
- Was injury plagued after a foul landed him on his back in the Braggin’ Rights Game vs. Illinois (Dec. 20), but he did manage a 15-point performance vs. Oklahoma State in the game immediately following the injury.
- Played nine minutes of the Lipscomb game (Jan. 3) before being unable to continue due to back pain.
- Returned to early season form vs. Arkansas (Jan. 24), scoring a team-high 16 points (6-of-9 FG, 3-of-3 3PT 1-of-1 FT)Â in 23 minutes off the bench.
HIGH SCHOOL:
- Was ranked a consensus Top 50 recruit in the Class of 2015 before reclassifying to 2014 and signing with Missouri on Aug. 2, 2014.
- Was named the 2014 Gatorade Player of the Year in West Virginia as a junior at Huntington Prep High School.
- Averaged 16.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals for Huntington Prep in 2013-14, helping the club to a 28-5 overall record and a No. 5 national ranking.
- The Fighting Irish would advance to the semifinals in the 2014 Dick's Sporting Goods High School National Tournament.
- Finished the year being named a Class of 2015 Fifth Team All-America selection by Max Preps.
- Was an explosive scorer throughout his high school career and recorded a career high 56 points in a win over Miami Valley on Nov. 30, 2013.
- Hit 21-of-34 shots from the floor and 11-of-20 attempts from three-point range in the win.
- Shot 55 percent from the floor, hitting 197-of-360 field goal attempts and was a 74-percent shooter from the foul line as a junior.
- He also hit 41 percent of his shots from three-point range.
- Was a star for Team Canada in the 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championship played June 20-24 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
- Finished second among all players at the tournament in scoring (19.6 ppg) and helped Team Canada to the silver medal with a 4-1 overall record (3-0 record in group play).
- Also ranked second at the tournament at the foul line, hitting 30-of-33 attempts (90.9 percent) and was sixth with eight three-point makes.
- His top scoring games of the international event came during a 91-82 win over Argentina when he dropped in 24 points and six rebounds, 23 points in a 79-67 win against the Dominican Republic and 22 points in the gold medal game loss to Team USA, 113-79.
- Was coached at Huntington Prep by current Mizzou assistant coach, Rob Fulford.
- Played his freshman season at Vaughan Secondary School in his hometown of Vaughan, Ontario.
