
Track and Field Caps Off Battle on the Bayou

10 Tigers represented the Black in Gold in the final day of competition.
BATON ROUGE, La. – Mizzou track and field completed the final day of Battle on the Bayou to extend the outdoor campaign on Saturday at Bernie Moore Track Stadium.
RECAP
Junior Chase Crawford notched the highest event finish for the Tigers, taking sixth in shot put with a 17.05m (55-11.25). Sam Albert followed in eighth with a personal best of 16.77m (55-0.25).
Senior Ames Burton logged a 51.45m (168-9) in women's discus to place eighth and stand in the top half of the field.
On the track, freshman Morgan Yeomans paced the women in her outdoor 800m debut, clocking a 2:08.37 to finish ninth. Suzy Lecoutre crossed the finish line in 2:08.55 to secure 11th in her first time running the event. Brianna Lee claimed a personal best of 2:09.14 to establish 12th.
Senior Robert Hines represented the Tigers in the 100m, recording a 10.43 in his season debut of the event.
