
Track and Field Travels to Bryan Clay Invitational and Big Red Classic

The Tigers travel west for two meets in the fourth week of competition.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Missouri track and field continues its outdoor season with a pair of road meets this week, competing at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California, on April 16-17 and the Big Red Classic in Lincoln, Nebraska, on April 17-18.
TIGERS ON THE TRACK
A distance group of five travels to Cougar Athletic Stadium for the Bryan Clay Invitational on Thursday and Friday.
Drew Rogers returns to the 10,000 meters for the second time this season, while Mirriam Chepkirui and Monica Wanjiku will compete in the event on the women's side during Thursday's session. On Friday evening, Suzy Lecoutre and Kobi Walker are slated for the 5,000 meters after Lecoutre recorded the program's No. 7 all-time mark in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:20.56 at Battle on the Bayou.
Missouri will send 37 athletes to the Big Red Classic, held Friday and Saturday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
Sam Innes, Clayton Kamp and Garik Pozecki represent the Tigers in the hammer throw at 11 a.m. on Friday. Kamp will also compete in the shot put alongside Sam Albert and Chase Crawford on Saturday.
Dillon Leacock and Robert Hines will open Friday's running events with the 200 meters beginning at 5:10 p.m. Leacock will also compete in the 400 meters, while Hines is entered in the 100 meters.
River Hardman, Ryder James and Joseph Bariola are set to compete in the 800m at 5:45 p.m. Friday.
Hardman will also join Elijah Limo, Tyler Freiner, Joshua Allison and Andrew Hauser in the 1500m at 1:40 p.m. Saturday.
On the women's side, Brianna Lee and Morgan Yeomans look to build on personal-best performances of 2:09.14 and 2:08.37, respectively, in the 800 meters at Battle on the Bayou.
Allison Newman, Elissa Barnard and Natalie Barnard round out the track events in the 1500m at 1:25 p.m. Saturday.
On Friday afternoon, Anna Vedral, Allison Geen and Makenna Estes will compete in pole vault for the first time since the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
Petra Gombas, Delilah Pippen, Kaitlyn Morningstar, Tañia Duncan and Reagan Kimrey are entered in the hammer throw, scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. Ames Burton will join Duncan and Morningstar in the discus on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Missouri's top-ranked women's javelin group will compete at the Big Red Classic to round out Friday's events, featuring Skylar Ciccolini, Valentina Barrios, Lexi Craig, Adrienne Russell, Nora Hark, Morgan Cannon, Val Galligan and Marysa Flieg.
Sophomore Marlena Tresnjo is set for her third high jump appearance of the 2026 outdoor season, competing at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
RANKED TIGERS
Missouri has four men and three women ranked among the top 50 nationally in individual events through three weeks of outdoor competition.
Ciccolini leads the nation's top-ranked women's javelin unit, ranking No. 3 nationally with a throw of 57.45 meters (188-6) at the Yellow Jacket Invitational, which ranks third in program history. Barrios is No. 7 nationally with a mark of 55.80 meters (183-1), recorded at Battle on the Bayou.
On the men's side, Innes ranks No. 9 nationally in the hammer throw after posting a personal-best 70.36 meters (230-10) at Battle on the Bayou, the No. 2 mark in program history.
Limo and Allison rank No. 18 and No. 41, respectively, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase following their performances at the Raleigh Relays.
Leacock ranks No. 30 nationally in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 50.93, which stands No. 3 all-time at Missouri.
Brianna Utecht ranks No. 30 in the heptathlon with 5,449 points from the Texas Relays, the No. 6 mark in program history.
