Women's Golf in Second After Opening Day at OU Intercollegiate

WICHITA, Kan. — Mizzou women’s golf sits in second place following 36 holes of action Monday at the OU Intercollegiate at Wichita Country Club. The Tigers carded a 2-under-par through two rounds, finishing the opening day just among the tournament leaders.

Seniors Addie Dobson and Melanie Walker led the way for Mizzou, finishing the day tied for fourth at 2-under-par 140. Dobson opened with a 71 before firing a 2-under 69 in the second round, carding nine birdies on the day. 

Walker followed her opening-round 72 with a team-best 3-under 68 in the afternoon, a season low for the senior. Five birdies and an eagle on hole four highlighted the day for Walker.

Junior Alexandra Berglund carded matching rounds of 72 to finish the day at 2-over 144 and tied for 18th in a field of 66.

Fleur van Beek and Addie Surber both finished at 3-over 145 and tied for 26th. Van Beek recorded rounds of 73 and 72, while Surber followed a 70 in the opening round with a 75 in the second.

Competing as an individual, Page Bowman also finished at 3-over 145 after rounds of 75 and 70, marking the lowest round of her career

The Tigers will close out the OU Intercollegiate and fight to win their second consecutive  tournament during the final round Tuesday at the Wichita Country Club.
