SETTING THE SCENE
The 23rd-ranked Mizzou football team (5-2, 2-2 SEC) travels to Fayetteville for an SEC matchup vs. Arkansas (3-4, 1-3 SEC) on Saturday, October 31 (6:45 p.m. CT / SEC Network) at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The Tigers enter the Battle Line Rivalry matchup following a bye week after a 31-3 setback at No. 9 Ole Miss on October 17. Linebacker Nicholas Rodriguez led the defensive effort with a game-high 13 tackles and his first career forced fumble, while wide receiver Donovan Olugbode hauled in a career-high nine receptions for 127 yards.

HALLOWEEN NIGHT UNDER THE LIGHTS
The game will mark the first time Missouri has ever played a night game on Halloween. The Tigers have won two of their last three Halloween matchups, picking up wins at Texas Tech (1998) and at Colorado (2009). Mizzou last played on Halloween in 2020, a loss at Florida.

THE COACHES
Already No. 4 on Mizzou's all-time wins list, Eli Drinkwitz is in his seventh season as Mizzou’s head coach and enters Saturday with a 51-31 mark (63-32 overall). The Alma, Arkansas, native has led the Tigers to bowl eligibility in each of his first six seasons in Columbia, making him the only MU head coach in program history to achieve that feat. Prior to taking the Mizzou job, Drinkwitz was 12-1 in his lone season as head coach at Appalachian State (2019). Drinkwitz boasts the best home winning percentage (min. four seasons) in program history at .804 and is 37-9 on Faurot Field during his tenure. Since the start of 2023, Drinkwitz and the Tigers have gone 34-12 (.756) - tied for 12th-best nationally over that stretch.

Arkansas head coach Ryan Silverfield is in his first season leading the Razorbacks after being named the programs 35th head coach on Nov. 30, 2025. Silverfield has led Arkansas to a 3-4 overall record, including 1-3 in SEC play in 2026 with a win over Vanderbilt. Before making the move to Fayetteville, Silverfield served six seasons as head coach and four as an assistant coach at Memphis, where he compiled a 50-25 record and guided the Tigers to bowl eligibility each year, highlighted by 10+ win seasons in 2023 and 2024, along with 29 victories over his final three seasons. Silverfield spent a decade with the Memphis program, contributing to the Tigers’ run of 12 straight bowl appearances through 2025. His success at Memphis established him as one of the nation’s winningest coaches since 2023.
