COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou tennis closed out the final day of matches at the Husker Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 27, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Missouri totaled 10 wins through three days of competition, including four today. Junior Millie Skelton and freshman Evelyn Whiteside stayed undefeated at the invite, including going 3-0 in doubles matches paired together.
Skelton and Whiteside opened the day defeating Kansas’ Hyejeong Ahn and Simryn Jacob, 8-4, in doubles. Both added another singles win to their weekend totals, defeating opponents from Denver and Kansas. Whiteside fought through three sets to pick up her win over her Jayhawk opposition.
Freshman Leticia Bazan earned her first collegiate singles win, taking down Alina Vysochenko of Wichita State in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
UP NEXT
Mizzou returns to action at the 49er Invite in Charlotte, North Carolina, Oct. 2-4. The three-day competition, hosted by Charlotte, will take place at Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.
