COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou tennis completed day two of competition at the Husker Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Junior Millie Skelton and freshman Evelyn Whiteside continued to shine at the invite, picking up their second doubles victory, a win over Denver duo Yunfei Cai and Ruby Hansen, 8-2.

The Tigers tandem carried the momentum into singles play. Skelton bested Kansas’ Caroline Manzi, 6-1, 6-2, while Whiteside defeated Ruby Hansen of Denver, 7-6 (8-6), 6-4.

Both freshmen Leticia Bazan and Alba Salles Canudas started singles strong, claiming their respective first sets, but ultimately fell in three sets.

Missouri concludes competition at the Husker Invitational on Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m. CT. Fans can watch the action here.
