Women’s Golf Hosts Johnnie Imes Invitational at Old Hawthorne

The Mizzou women's golf team returns to Columbia this week to host the Johnnie Imes Invitational, beginning Monday morning at The Club at Old Hawthorne.

TOURNAMENT INFO

The Johnnie Imes Invitational begins Monday with two-straight days of 18 holes of play, wrapping up Tuesday. Mizzou hosts the annual tournament, which honors former Mizzou women's golf coach Johnnie Imes. 

It is the 17th time the Tigers have hosted Johnnie Imes, winning 10 times since 2007.

COURSE OVERVIEW

The tournament is slated for The Club at Old Hawthorne, a par-72 course located in Columbia. The par-72 course measures 6,342 yards in length and serves as the home course for Mizzou golf.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION

The Tigers will compete against a field of nine teams, joined by South Dakota State, Lindenwood, West Georgia, Missouri State, South Dakota, UAB, East Texas A&M and McLennan CC.

LAST YEAR AT HOME

Mizzou women's golf captured the Johnnie Imes Invitational last season, finishing 14-under par with a two-round score of 562. Three Tigers finished among the top five individually, led by senior Melanie Walker, who finished runner-up at 6-under par.

SEASON OPENER AT ANNIKA

Mizzou women's golf opened the 2026-27 season at the Annika Intercollegiate in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, finishing ninth in the 12-team field. The Tigers posted a final-round 296 (+8), their best team score of the tournament. Fleur van Beek led Mizzou individually at 4-over par in the tournament, while Grace Crawford carded the Tigers' lowest final-round score with a 1-over 73.
