COLUMBIA, Mo. - The 20th-ranked Mizzou football team (2-0, 0-0 SEC) is back at home to host the Memorial Stadium 100th Anniversary Game versus Troy (2-0, 0-0 SBC) at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, September 19 on SEC Network+. The Tigers went on the road to Lawrence, Kansas, and defeated the rival Jayhawks, 38-21, on September 11 to claim their fifth-straight win in the Border War in the rivalry's 122nd installment.

THROWING IT BACK: MEMORIAL STADIUM CENTENNIAL THREADS IN ACTION
Mizzou will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Memorial Stadium by wearing special throwback uniforms against Troy on September 19. The uniforms combine elements from several eras of Tiger football, including a 1920s-style “M” on the jersey, 1970s-inspired sleeve stripes and a narrow Block M with a gray facemask reminiscent of the helmet design introduced in 1971. The helmet’s front bumper features the six Columns of Francis Quadrangle, while the pants utilize the historic shade of gold worn by the Tigers through the 20th century. Together, the design connects a century of Mizzou Football history as the Tigers begin the next 100 years at Memorial Stadium.

HONORING HISTORY: 1960 NATIONAL CHAMPS
First recognized by Senator Eric Schmitt on the floor of the U.S. Senate, Mizzou Athletics will formally recognize the undefeated 1960 Missouri football team as national champions during halftime of the Tigers' September 19 matchup versus Troy. The recognition is based on the Poling System, an NCAA-recognized historical national championship selector that named Missouri its 1960 national champion. Led by legendary head coach Dan Devine, the Tigers won the Big Eight championship and finished 11-0 following Kansas’ forfeiture for using an ineligible player and Mizzou’s 21-14 victory over No. 4 Navy in the Orange Bowl.The 1960 Tigers climbed to No. 1 in the AP poll during the regular season and finished No. 5 in the final poll, which was conducted before bowl games until 1968.The ceremony will be part of the Memorial Stadium 100th Anniversary Game, during which the Tigers will wear special throwback uniforms honoring the program’s history.

TWO & COUNTING
With its win over Kansas, Mizzou improved to 2-0 for the fourth-straight season. It marks the sixth stretch in program history that the Tigers have opened 2-0 in at least four-consecutive seasons. The win also extended MU's regular-season non-conference winning streak to 15 games as the Tigers improved to 22-5 overall against non-con opponents under head coach Eli Drinkwitz.

THE COACHES
Already No. 4 on Mizzou's all-time wins list, Eli Drinkwitz is in his seventh season as Mizzou’s head coach and enters Saturday with a 48-29 mark (60-30 overall). The Alma, Arkansas, native has led the Tigers to bowl eligibility in each of his first six seasons in Columbia, making him the only MU head coach in program history to achieve that feat. Prior to taking the Mizzou job, Drinkwitz was 12-1 in his lone season as head coach at Appalachian State (2019). Drinkwitz boasts the best home winning percentage (min. four seasons) in program history at .791 and is 34-9 on Faurot Field during his tenure. Since the start of 2023, Drinkwitz and the Tigers have gone 31-10 (.756) - 11th-best nationally over that stretch.

Troy head coach Gerad Parker is in his third season with the Trojans, posting a 14-14 record overall at Troy. Parker led the Trojans to a four-win improvement in 2025, finishing 8-6 overall and 6-2 in Sun Belt play en route to the Sun Belt West Division title and an appearance in the conference championship game. Prior to Troy, Parker spent two seasons at Notre Dame, serving as the Fighting Irish’s offensive coordinator and tight ends coach in 2023. Under his direction, Notre Dame ranked eighth nationally in scoring offense at 39.1 points per game. Additional coaching stops for Parker include West Virginia, Penn State, Duke, Purdue, Marshall and UT Martin.

FIRST & TEN: STORYLINES
- The Tigers are 31-10 since the start of 2023 (.756) - 11th-best nationally over that stretch by winning percentage.
- Mizzou is up to No. 20 (AP) and No. 22 (Coaches) in the latest editions of the national polls (Sept. 13). The Tigers entered the season ranked 25th in each of the major polls to mark the second time in the past three seasons appearing in both preseason top 25 polls.
- The Tigers face one of the nation's toughest schedules for 2026, featuring five opponents who were ranked inside the preseason AP Top 10: No. 3 Georgia, No. 5 Texas, No. 8 Texas A&M, No. 9 Ole Miss and No. 10 Oklahoma.
- MU is 16-1 over its last 17 night games, dating back to the 2023 season opener over South Dakota (8/31/23). The Tigers own an active 15-game winning streak in regular season night games dating back to the 2023 season opener vs. South Dakota.

SCOUTING TROY
- The Trojans are off to a 2-0 start to their 2026 season as a season-opening win over Sam Houston was followed up by a 34-17 final against Alabama State.
- Troy has dominated its opponents on the ground to date, holding a 201.5-77.0 edge rushing per game this season. Backs Jaheim Merriweather (74.5 YPG) and Gavin Griffin (68.5 YPG) have led the charge for the Trojans' rushing attack.
- Head coach Gerad Parker is in his third season leading the Trojans who are coming off their third Sun Belt Championship Game appearance in the last four seasons. Parker took Troy from 4-8 in 2024 to 8-6 a season ago with a 6-2 mark in conference play.
- Troy finished the 2025 season third nationally with five defensive TDs and 22nd with 2.64 sacks per game.

TIGERS DOMINANT IN NON-CONFERENCE
- With its 38-21 win over Kansas, Mizzou extended its regular-season non-conference win streak to 15 games, dating back to Sept. 17, 2022.
- Mizzou has owned its home turf in recent years against non-conference competition, winning each of its last 24 non-SEC games on Faurot Field dating back to an October 21, 2017, victory over Idaho.
- Under head coach Eli Drinkwitz, the Tigers are 22-5 overall in non-conference action - including wins over No. 7 Ohio State (2023 Cotton Bowl) and Iowa (2024 Music City Bowl).

SIMMONS SIZZLES
- QB Austin Simmons completed 19-of-29 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns in his first taste of the Border War.
- Simmons became the first Tiger quarterback since at least 1995 to throw for 290 yards and three touchdowns against Kansas.
- Through his first two games in the Black & Gold, Simmons has completed 36-of-48 passes (75.0 percent) for 544 yards and seven touchdowns without an interception.

FAST START, ELITE COMPANY
- QB Austin Simmons has completed 36-of-48 passes for 544 yards and seven touchdowns through his first two games as a Tiger - without throwing a pick.
- Compared to the first two games of the first full seasons as Mizzou’s starting quarterback for the program’s three career passing leaders — Chase Daniel, Drew Lock and Blaine Gabbert — Simmons owns the highest completion percentage and most touchdown passes.
- Simmons has produced his seven touchdowns on just 48 attempts, 18 fewer than any of the other three quarterbacks, while his 544 passing yards rank third in the group.

DONOVAN DELIVERS (AGAIN)
- Mizzou WR Donovan Olugbode registered his second consecutive 100-yard receiving performance, hauling in six passes for 121 yards and a touchdown.
- It marked the second-straight game to begin the season in which he recorded a career-high in receiving yards.
- Olugbode has led the Tigers in receiving in each of the first two games, totaling 14 receptions for 237 yards and three touchdowns.
- His 237 receiving yards are the most by a Tiger through two games under head coach Eli Drinkwitz and the most to begin a season since Emanuel Hall totaled 342 yards through two games in 2018.
- Olugbode has eclipsed the 100-yard mark during the first half of both contests.

DYNAMIC DUO
- WR Donovan Olugbode and WR Cayden Lee each surpassed 100 receiving yards in the win at Kansas.
- Olugbode finished with 121 yards and a touchdown on six receptions, while Lee added 120 yards and a score on six catches.
- The duo became the first pair of Mizzou receivers to record 100 yards in the same game since Luther Burden III and Theo Wease Jr. accomplished the feat at Vanderbilt on Sept. 30, 2023.
- Furthermore, the duo became the first pair of Tiger receivers to break the 120-yard plateau in the same game since Dimetrios Mason and Emanuel Hall vs. Delaware State (9/24/16) and the first duo against a P4 opponent since Jerrell Jackson and TJ Moe vs. Iowa (12/28/10).
- Beyond that, it marked the first time a Mizzou receiving duo each scored a touchdown in addition to going over 120 yards in the same game since Danario Alexander and Jerrell Jackson vs. Iowa State (11/21/09).
- For the season, Olugbode rocks a stat line of 13 receptions, 228 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Tigers in all three categories, while Lee ranks second on the squad in all three departments (11-209-2 TD).
- The duo is the only pair of receivers among P4 schools to each rank inside the nation's top 25 in receiving yards (Olugbode - No. 18, Lee - No. 23).

TRIPLE THREAT
- Mizzou featured three players with at least 100 all-purpose yards against Kansas.
- RB Jamal Roberts led the way with 125 yards, followed by WR Donovan Olugbode with 121 and WR Cayden Lee with 120.
- It marked the second consecutive meeting with Kansas in which three Tigers reached the century mark in all-purpose yardage.

COOL UNDER PRESSURE
- Mizzou QB Austin Simmons has excelled against the blitz so far this season, throwing five touchdown passes against pressure through two weeks.
- That is tied for second-most in the nation, as Simmons trails only Indiana's Josh Hoover (6).
- Simmons has been at his best on third down early in the 2026 season. The Ole Miss transfer has completed 76.5 percent of his 17 third-down pass attempts (13 of 17) for 208 yards.
- Simmons has converted 12 first downs on those 17 attempts with five touchdowns passes. He has averaged a third-down passing touchdown on every 3.4 third-down attempts.

TAKE IT AWAY, WOODYARD

- Woodyard Jr. became the first Mizzou player to record a forced fumble, fumble recovery and interception in the same game since Anthony Sherrils against Tennessee on Nov. 11, 2017.
- It marked just the third such performance by a Tiger since at least 1995. Sherrils accounted for the other two, making Woodyard Jr. only the second different Mizzou player to accomplish the feat during that span.
- Woodyard Jr. also became the first FBS player to produce that stat line this season and the first nationally since Dec. 5, 2025. Only four players accomplished the feat during the 2025 season.

ROBERTS RULES THE RIVALRY
- Mizzou RB Jamal Roberts rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries to record the fourth 100-yard performance of his career.
- Roberts broke loose for a career-long 64-yard touchdown run during the second quarter, surpassing the 63-yard game-clinching run he recorded against Kansas last season.
- His 143 rushing yards in 2025 and 125 yards in 2026 rank fourth and fifth, respectively, among the top single-game rushing performances by a Tiger against Kansas.

SIMMONS + LEE CONNECTION
- QB Austin Simmons and WR Cayden Lee bring their duo from Ole Miss to Mizzou.
- Lee, a two-year starter for the Rebels, played in 38 games and racked up 1,623 yards. He started all 15 games a season ago and 12 of 13 games in 2024 when he hauled in a career-high 57 passes for 874 yards.
- Simmons opened the season as Ole Miss' starter at QB and connected with Lee three times for 21 yards in the opening two games of the 2025 campaign. The graduate student threw for 100 yards in relief against The Citadel and went 4-5 with 64 yards in a CFP First Round matchup against Tulane.
- In the duo's first game donning the Black & Gold, the pair gave Tiger fans a glimpse of what is to come, linking up five times for 89 yards - highlighted by a 47-yard catch and run for a touchdown by Lee for his first as a Tiger.
- In their second game as Tigers versus Kansas, the duo connected six times for 120 yards and a touchdown, bringing Lee's season line to 11 receptions for 209 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
