“Memorial Stadium: The Home of Missouri Football, 1926-2026” to be sold at Tiger Team Store, with proceeds benefiting Mizzou student-athletes through Name, Image and Likeness.
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou fans can now purchase a newly published book chronicling the history of Memorial Stadium with proceeds from sales benefitting Every True Tiger Brands (ETTB) and Mizzou student-athlete Name, Image and Likeness opportunities.
“Memorial Stadium: The Home of Missouri Football, 1926-2026,” written by Annie Miller Devoy and published in 2026 by Walsworth, will be available for purchase at the Tiger Team Store at Memorial Stadium this football season. The book's foreword is written by University of Missouri President Mun Y. Choi.
Published as Mizzou celebrates the 100th anniversary of Memorial Stadium, the book explores the remarkable history of the home of Missouri Football, tracing the program and the stadium from their earliest days through this year’s completion of the $250 million Memorial Stadium Centennial Project.
“Annie has done an incredible job bringing the history of Memorial Stadium to life through both her storytelling and an amazing collection of photographs, many of which fans will be seeing for the first time,” said Every True Tiger Brands CEO Mario Moccia. “This is a special book for anyone who loves Mizzou and Memorial Stadium, and we're especially excited that its purchase can help support our student-athletes through Name, Image and Likeness opportunities. It's a great example of how we can celebrate our history while investing in the future of Mizzou Athletics.”
The story begins with the origins of Missouri football in the 1890s and the earliest plans for a football stadium south of campus before detailing the opening of Memorial Stadium in 1926. It follows the program through the Don Faurot era, the Dan Devine years of the 1960s and the stadium's numerous expansions, renovations and enhancements across the decades. The book also examines Mizzou’s resurgence under Gary Pinkel, the Tigers' move to the Southeastern Conference in 2012 and the evolution of the playing surface through multiple generations.
Featuring rarely seen photographs from Memorial Stadium's past, the book offers readers an extensive visual journey through the venue's history while preserving stories and memories from generations of Mizzou football.
