COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Athletics has named Angie Jabir its new Deputy Athletics Director for Olympic Sport Leadership and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), Mizzou Director of Athletics Laird Veatch announced Tuesday.
Jabir joins Mizzou after most recently serving a similar role at Stanford University, where she was Executive Associate Athletics Director for Sport Administration and Senior Woman Administrator and provided day-to-day oversight of a broad group of Cardinal athletic programs. She joined Stanford in 2024 and played a key role in the department's transition to the Atlantic Coast Conference.
In her new role at Mizzou, Jabir will serve as a member of the department's Senior Leadership Team and provide strategic leadership and oversight for Mizzou's Olympic sport programs, working closely with head coaches to support competitive success, student-athlete development, operational effectiveness and long-term program growth. She begins at Mizzou on Oct. 5.

"She has spent more than two decades working across college athletics as a coach and administrator, and she understands what it takes to support coaches, develop people and build programs that can win championships at the highest level. We're thrilled to have her join our team and help us lead Mizzou Athletics to the next level."
Jabir will also serve as Mizzou's Senior Woman Administrator, advocating for the student-athlete experience and providing leadership on issues involving student-athlete welfare, equity, Title IX and departmental culture. She will work with campus and athletics staff to strengthen resources and opportunities related to academics, health and wellness, leadership development and personal growth. As part of her responsibilities at Mizzou, Jabir will work closely with department leadership on personnel decisions, organizational development, strategic planning, resource allocation, facility initiatives and emerging issues affecting college athletics. She will also represent Mizzou in conference, NCAA and institutional leadership opportunities.

Jabir brings more than 20 years of experience in college athletics, including senior leadership roles at Stanford, Siena College, Lynn University, Nova Southeastern University and the University of Dayton. Before joining Stanford, Jabir served as Senior Associate Athletics Director and SWA at Siena from 2021-24. During her time there, she represented the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) on the NCAA Division I Council and spent two years on the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Oversight Committee.
Jabir previously served as Deputy Athletics Director and SWA at Lynn University from 2019-21 and Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations and Sport Administration at Nova Southeastern from 2017-19.
She spent eight years at Dayton from 2009-17, serving in a variety of administrative roles, including Director of Business and Student Services, Assistant Athletics Director and Associate Athletics Director for Sport Administration. While at Dayton, she established the Women's Coaching Forum.
Jabir began her career in collegiate athletics as a women's basketball coach, serving as an assistant coach at Dayton, Cleveland State and Wisconsin-Whitewater before transitioning into administration.
A native of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Jabir earned her bachelor's degree in speech communication from Eastern Illinois University in 2000, where she was a four-year member of the women's basketball program. She earned a master's degree in athletic administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2002.
