OMAHA, Neb. – Mizzou soccer dropped its final non-conference road match of the season, falling 1-0 at Creighton on Sunday afternoon at Morrison Stadium.

The Tigers (2-3-1) finished with more shots than their opponent for the fifth time in six matches this season, leading the Bluejays (2-2-1) 21-7 in the category and in corner kicks (11-6). Junior Landis Canada (Fenton, Mich.) notched a team-high five shots.

The Tigers came out firing, with Canada recording the team's first shot on goal just 54 seconds into the contest. The Black & Gold kept up its early offensive barrage, as Canada, Emily Derucki (Wildwood, Mo.) and Rylie Morse (Lebanon, Ohio) all got off additional attempts within the first six minutes.

Senior Riley Wilkerson (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) saved a pair of shots in the 16th minute, stopping one on her left before gathering another from the opposite side seconds later, but Creighton broke through on its next attempt in the 32nd minute to take a 1-0 lead into the break despite a 10-3 Missouri edge in first half shots.

Missouri controlled the run of play after the break, outshooting Creighton 11-4 in the second half against a fresh Bluejays goalkeeper. Wilkerson turned away two more shots to finish with four saves on the day and keep the Tigers within a goal. Mizzou pressed in the closing minutes, generating four shots and a corner kick inside the final three minutes but was unable to find the equalizer as Creighton held on for the 1-0 result.
