Thirteen Mizzou Gymnasts Named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans

Two Tigers reached a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou had 13 of its gymnasts named to the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America team, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Five Tigers posted a grade point average of 3.90 or better during the 2026 season, with 13 of the team’s 20 student-athletes earning a spot on this year’s list. The WCGA highlights the sport's top academic achievers each season.

To qualify as a WCGA Scholastic All-American, a gymnast must have a GPA of 3.50 for either the prior academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above at their respective institution.

Overall, 1,195 student-athletes earned a 3.5 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale during the 2026 season, which is good for 77.1 percent of all reporting gymnasts, setting record marks since the information was tracked starting in 2008. A total of 293 honorees, including Lauren Macpherson (Gilbert, Ariz.) and Sara Wabi (Chicago, Ill.), earned a perfect 4.0, good for 18.92 percent of those recognized.
