Softball Set to Compete in Inaugural Diamonds University Fall Classic

KANSAS CITY – Mizzou softball, in collaboration with the Kansas City Diamonds, will compete in the inaugural Diamonds University Classic presented by Hy-Vee, the organizations announced on Tuesday, Aug. 18. The Tigers will play the second weekend, taking on the Diamonds and Wichita State on Saturday, Oct. 17, in Kansas City, Kansas.

This competition will be a key part of MU’s fall slate, as it will be the first time the Tigers take on a professional organization in an exhibition. The Kansas City Diamonds are Kansas City's first professional women's fastpitch softball franchise and a founding member of the Professional Softball League (PSL). Based at Legends Field, the Diamonds are dedicated to elevating women's professional softball while building lasting community and corporate partnerships across the Kansas City metro.

Saturday, Oct. 17

1:00 p.m.  —  Kansas City Diamonds vs. University of Missouri

4:00 p.m.  —  Wichita State University vs. University of Missouri

TICKETS

  • Season ticket holder pre-sale begins Tuesday, Aug. 18. Tickets go on sale to the general public Thursday, Aug. 20. Tickets to the event will be available via the KC Diamonds' website.
