COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri student-athletes completed another highly successful semester in the classroom during the spring, earning a cumulative Spring 2026 grade-point average of 3.34.

In addition, 68 Mizzou student-athletes earned 4.0 GPAs this spring. In total, 83 Mizzou student-athletes were honored for earning their degrees during commencement ceremonies May 15-17; another 10 will earn their degrees in August.

This marks the 19th-consecutive semester Mizzou student-athletes produced an average GPA of 3.0 or higher. During the fall, student-athletes posted a cumulative GPA of 3.31, as 18 student athletes earned their degrees.

"Tremendous achievement in the classroom continues to be a defining characteristic of our student-athlete experience at Mizzou," said Tami Chievous, Executive Athletics Director for Academic Services. "To record another cumulative GPA above 3.3 while also celebrating record-setting team performances, degree completion milestones and the daily demands of competing in the Southeastern Conference speaks to the discipline, commitment and support system surrounding our student-athletes. We are incredibly proud of the way they continue to excel academically while representing Mizzou at the highest level."

"Our student-athletes continue to demonstrate what it means to pursue excellence in every aspect of the Mizzou experience," Director of Athletics Laird Veatch said. "These accomplishments reflect an incredible commitment from our student-athletes, coaches and the outstanding academic support staff led by Tami Chievous. Education remains at the core of the student-athlete experience, and we are proud to see our Tigers thriving in the classroom while competing at the highest level of collegiate athletics."

During the 2026 Spring semester, four Mizzou teams recorded their highest spring GPA in program history: football (3.13), women's golf (3.79), volleyball (3.68) and women's swimming (3.87). Alongside these four record-breaking semesters, three more teams posted GPAs of 3.5 or better: gymnastics (3.51), soccer (3.73) and women's track and field (3.50).
