Track and Field Wraps Up Drake Relays

DES MOINES, Iowa – Missouri track and field capped off the Drake Relays with five podium finishes on Saturday afternoon at Drake Stadium.

Sophomore Marlena Tresnjo notched a personal best of 1.83m (6-0) in the high jump championship, tying the program's No. 5 all-time record. The result was good for a podium spot of third place.

Senior Petra Gombas made her mark in the women's hammer throw, taking third with a personal best of 59.15m (194-0) to rank eighth all-time on the Missouri charts. Reagan Kimrey secured eighth with a 55.19m (181-1) to stand in the top 10.

Junior Garik Pozecki placed seventh in the men's hammer throw with a 60.98m (200-1), his third time reaching the 60 meter mark in the 2026 outdoor campaign. In the championship division, Sam Innes finished fourth with a 68.69m (225-4).

Sophomore Adrienne Russell led the women's javelin squad of four with a third place mark of 45.17m (148-2). Marysa Flieg joined her in the top five, notching fourth with a 44.77m (146-10). Val Galligan and Morgan Cannon went five-six in the championship slate, with results of 45.87m (150-6) and 45.83m (150-4), respectively.

Robert Hines tallied a podium placement in the 100m Final, recording a 10.55 to take third.

In the final running event for the Tigers, a Distance Medley Relay group consisting of Lasse Funck, Dillon Leacock, Finn Russell and Carter Spradling claimed third among a field of 14 teams, clocking a 9:43.28.
