Liljeberg Posts top 10 Performance in Opening Round of the SEC Championship

Belleair, Fla. – Mizzou women's golf concluded the opening round of the Southeastern Conference Championships in 12th place following an 8-over 288 at the Pelican Golf Club on Friday.

Belleair, Fla. – Mizzou women's golf concluded the opening round of the Southeastern Conference Championships in 12th place following an 8-over 288 at the Pelican Golf Club on Friday.

Freshman Ebba Liljeberg carded a 2-under 68 to lead Mizzou and holds a tie for seventh place in the tournament.

Senior Melanie Walker submitted a 2-over performance and stands in a tie for 38th, while senior Addie Dobson will enter the second round in a tie for 46th after posting a 3-over result.

Senior Jade Zamora and junior Fleur van Beek rounded out the Tigers in ties for 66th and 71st, respectively. Zamora recorded a 5-over round while van Beek finished 6-over.

Mizzou returns to action at 7 a.m. tomorrow for the second day of stroke play. The top eight schools during stroke play advance to the quarterfinals of match play on Monday.
