COLUMBIA, Mo. – Five Missouri track & field alumni are set to compete against the nation's best this weekend at the 2025 USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships, looking to earn national titles and potential Team USA spots for the World Athletics World Championships to be held in Tokyo, Japan on September 13-21. 

The top three finishers in each event at the USATF Championships who have met the World Athletics qualifying standard will earn a spot on Team USA for the 2025 World Athletics Championships. Schweizer and Jacobs will be eligible for the World Championships in the 5,000m and the discus throw, respectively, with top-three results in their competitions.

Karissa Schweizer headlines the group as she takes on two events. The Olympic medalist competes in the 5,000 meters on Sunday, August 3, at 4:30 p.m. CT, and finished in sixth place in the 10,000m on Thursday.

In the field, Gabi Jacobs is entered in the women's discus throw on Sunday, August 3, at 2 p.m., while Mitchell Weberrepresents the Tigers in men's discus on Saturday, August 2, at 1:20 p.m.

The Tigers will also be represented in the women's triple jump, with Arianna Fisher and Euphenie Andre both set to compete Saturday, August 2, at 2:40 p.m.

The USATF Championships, held annually, determine national champions and often serve as Team USA qualifying meets for global competition.
