
Men’s Golf Hosts Tiger Intercollegiate

University of Missouri men's golf is set to host the Tiger Collegiate Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, welcoming 17 additional schools to Columbia for the tournament at The Club at Old Hawthorne.
TOURNAMENT INFO
The tournament will tee off at 8 a.m. CT with a shotgun start. The schools are set to play two 18-hole rounds on Monday, then one final round the next day, with the same 8 a.m. CT shotgun start.
COURSE OVERVIEW
The Club at Old Hawthorne is set to host the tournament with the par-70 course measuring 7,158 yards long. Admission is free to the tournament.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Joining the Tigers on the course is Central Arkansas, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Drake, Iowa State, Kansas State, Lindenwood, Nebraska, North Alabama, Oral Roberts, Saint Mary's, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Stetson, No. 26 UNLV, UTRGV and Wyoming.
TIGERS AT HOME TOURNAMENT
The eighth version of the Tiger Intercollegiate at The Club at Old Hawthorne, Mizzou has won four of the previous seven championships on its home course (2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022).
In 2024, the Tigers finished in second place with a -9 score and two strokes back of champion Iowa State. Mizzou did take home the individual crown when Jack Lundin won his second-straight tournament, finishing with a score of -13 to win by two strokes.
RECORD WATCH
While playing his first official tournament at The Club at Old Hawthorne, Veikka Viskari is one to keep an eye out for this week. In September, Viskari set a record by shooting a 61 on the home course.
SENIOR DAY
Three Tigers are set to play in Columbia for the final time. Dagbjartur Sigurbrandsson is a four-year member of the Tigers, helping the team to three NCAA Championship Regional appearances and owning a 73.96 stoke average at Mizzou. Trevor Mierl is in his second season in the Black & Gold, tallying a 74.36 stroke average in 36 rounds as a Tiger. Finally, Mattias Varjun in his first season at Mizzou with a 74.14 stroke average in 21 rounds this year.
