
Tiger Style Wrestling Welcomes Home Two-Time NCAA Qualifier Teague Travis

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou wrestling announced the addition of two-time national qualifier Teague Travis to the team on Tuesday, Dec. 2. Travis will join the team in the second semester as a redshirt senior.

Travis returns home to Columbia for his final year of eligibility as a two-time NCAA qualifier and holds a college record of 41-14. The redshirt senior previously qualified at 157 and 149 pounds, accumulating a 4-4 record at the national tournament. Travis has placed fourth at the Big 12 Championship the past two seasons and has totaled five falls, one tech fall and 11 major decisions in his career.
Starting his high school career at Father Tolton Catholic in Columbia, Travis was coached to three Missouri State Titles by James Williamson before moving to Stillwater High School for his senior season. While at Stillwater, he was led by Ethan Kyle to his fourth state championship and first in Oklahoma.
Additionally, Mizzou runs in the Travis family with his father, Brooks Travis, and uncle Corey Hodapp, having wrestled for the Tigers. His mother, Katy, was also a member of the cheer team at Missouri.
