
Women's Basketball Travels to Face Saint Louis Sunday

Mizzou women's basketball will face Saint Louis at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Chaifetz Arena in Saint Louis, Missouri.
The Tigers enter the contest following a narrow loss to Illinois on Wednesday. Mizzou leads the all-time series 26-2 and is 12-2 in contests in Saint Louis.
Junior Guard Grace Slaughter led Mizzou with a double-double performance of 19 points and 10 rebounds against Illinois.
Junior Guard Lisa Thompson scored a season-high 11 points, dished four assists and grabbed three boards on Wednesday.
Junior Guard Shannon Dowell and Slaughter became the first Mizzou duo to score in double figures in the first 11 games of a season in program history.
Slaughter and Dowell rank fourth and 14th in the SEC with 19.2 and 16.4 points per game, respectively, this season.
Mizzou made its first eight free throws in Wednesday's contest, which marked 31 consecutive attempts at the line dating back to the win over Cal on Dec. 4. This is the most consecutive made free throws for Mizzou dating back to the 2000-01 season
As a team, Mizzou is ranked first in the SEC and 14th nationally for free-throw percentage at 80.2%.
The Tigers' 3-point percentage of 39.5 ranks 10th in the country and third in the SEC.
Saint Louis enters the contest at 4-6 after a win over Evansville on Sunday.
The Billikens are coached by Rebecca Tillett, who is in her fourth season at the helm with a 58-61 record.
Saint Louis is led by graduate guard Alexia Nelson who has posted 15 or more points in seven contests this season, and averages 14.9 points per game.
Freshman center Alyssa Koerkenmeier leads the Atlantic 10 Conference in blocks this season with 22 for 2.2 per game average.
