
Women's Golf in Second After Day One in Kansas

Mizzou women's golf opened play in the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Showdown Monday, finishing day one in second place, with the second round being suspended due to darkness.
Freshman Ebba Liljeberg led the Tigers through 36 holes, improving on her round one score by five shots in the second round to post a two-under 69. She finished the day at one-over in third place.
Seniors Addie Dobson and Melanie Walker led Mizzou in the first round, both carding one-under 70s in the opening round. Walker closed day one at three-over in 10th place. Dobson's first 18 was highlighted by an eagle on the par-five fourth hole, also finishing inside the top-15 at four-over.
Fleur van Beek and Jade Zamora also ended the day inside the top-25, turning in five-over and six-over respectively.
Missouri will be back in action at 8 a.m. on Tuesday for the final round of the Sunflower Showdown.
