The redshirt sophomore earns her first recognition on the team.
Mizzou soccer's Morgan Schaefer, a redshirt sophomore midfielder from Bentonville, Arkansas, has been named to the 2025 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, the league announced Thursday.
Schaefer has made a profound impact on her community through her extensive service and leadership efforts. She has completed more than 170 community service hours, volunteering with a wide range of organizations and initiatives that showcase her compassion and dedication to serving others.
A key leader within Mizzou's Med-Letes group, Schaefer helps bridge the gap between athletics and the medical field while encouraging her fellow student-athletes to get involved in service.
She played an instrumental role in relaunching Caleb's Pitch, a partnership between Mizzou Athletics and MU Children's Hospital that allows young patients to create syringe art in honor of Caleb, a child who passed away from cancer.
In addition to her work with Med-Letes and Caleb's Pitch, Schaefer volunteers weekly at The Crossing Church as a preschool team leader, provides care and comfort to hospice patients through Caring Hearts and Hands of Columbia, and participates in multiple outreach programs, including Think Orange Ministry, Get in the Game Blood Stem Cell Tabling, and P4H Global.
The Tigers' final game of the regular season comes on Sunday, October 26, at Auburn at 2 p.m. at Auburn Soccer Complex. The match will be livestreamed on SEC Network+.
