
Tennis Heads to Norman, Oklahoma for ITA Central Regional Championship

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou tennis heads to Norman, Oklahoma, for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Fall Central Regional Championship. The regional will begin Thursday, Oct. 16, and conclude Monday, Oct. 20.
The Tigers will meet up with competitors from Memphis, Nebraska, Missouri State, Kansas, Oral Roberts, UMKC, Kansas State, Wichita State, North Dakota, Iowa, Tulsa, Arkansas, Drake, Arkansas State, Minnesota, Iowa State and Saint Louis.
Singles and doubles will both be held on an outdoor hard surface court and follow a single-elimination draw. Mizzou features two players in the main draw, sophomore Korina Roso and graduate student Michelle Kleynerman, with an additional six playing in the qualifying draw.
The previous season, the Tigers competed in Memphis, Tennessee, for the ITA Fall Central Regional Championship. The team picked up a multitude of wins from returning player sophomore Gian Octa, who recorded four victories in the singles column, making it to the finals.
UP NEXT
Mizzou will head to San Diego, California, to finish the fall portion of its season and take on San Diego State Nov. 7-9.
