SECOND SET (32-30, Match Tied 1-1)
The second contest once again was heavily contested as the first break of the set came from a Mizzou timeout, after Auburn went on a 4-1 run to make it 10-7. MU evened and took the lead out of the break with a 5-0 scoring run with kills from Ariail and two from deMarrais – 13-11 MU.
Both sides would compete for the lead, with three lead changes until Auburn produced two straight points, making it 21-18 in its favor. A late run by Mizzou would once again put the Tigers back in contention, as they score four-straight points thanks to a kill and two blocks from Ariail.
All MU needed was a chance, as the two teams would battle it out in a marathon set. In the end, back-to-back kills from deMarrais were the answer to complete the comeback, as the Tigers won it 32-30.
THIRD SET (25-17, Mizzou leads 2-1)
In the third, Mizzou utilized its earned momentum to push ahead early, going up 9-4 before Auburn was forced into a timeout. MU's scoring stretch would finally end at 11-5, marking the end to an 8-0 run.
