
Hay Listed in D1Softball’s First Base Rankings

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri softball sophomore Abby Hay was listed in the 2025 D1Softball Player Position Rankings – First Base, the organization announced Thursday morning.
Hay, a Columbia, Missouri, native, was listed #13 in D1Softball's first base power rankings. The 2025 preseason honor marks the first in her career.
Hay earned 2024 NFCA Southeast All-Region and All-SEC honors in her debut season as a Tiger. She was third on Mizzou, batting .306 with 30 hits, 16 runs, four doubles, a triple, five homers and 23 RBI.
Hay paced the Tigers in SEC play, batting .318 with 14 hits, nine RBI, six runs and three home runs for her first career All-SEC Team honors. She also slugged .591 (.423 on-base percentage) during league play.
She was named SEC Player of the Week (4/23/24) finishing with a .636 (1.182 slugging percentage/.692 on-base percentage) mark over the week. Hay posted a hit in each game including multi-hit games in all three games of the Georgia (4/19-20/24) series.
