Saldutto Earns Bronze in Men’s Javelin at NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – University of Missouri track and field's Callan Saldutto earned a bronze medal in men's javelin on day one of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field on Wednesday.

EUGENE, Ore. – University of Missouri track and field's Callan Saldutto earned a bronze medal in men's javelin on day one of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field on Wednesday.

Saldutto used a personal-best throw of 76.88m (252-3) on his first attempt to capture third place. His result marks the best finish of any Tiger in men's javelin in school history, topping Alex Pascal's fourth-place mark in 2017.

Saldutto earned First-Team All-America honors for his placement, marking his first time receiving the recognition and becoming the ninth men's javelin All-America recognition in school history.

After the first day of competition, Missouri is tied for 11th in the team standings with six points.
