CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Missouri track and field capped off day two of the Virginia Challenge on Lannigan Field on Saturday.

The javelin throw spotlighted the action with Callan Saldutto launching a winning throw of 72.52m (237-11) to claim first. On the women's side, Valentina Barrios Bornacelli captured a first-place finish with a throw of 52.99m

Adding to the success in javelin, freshman Val Galligan secured a podium finish on the women's side, recording a personal-best throw od 50.15m (164-6).

In the men's discus throw, three Tigers posted a top-10 finish. Tarique George threw a 54.18m (177-9) earning a second-place finish. Additionally, Skylar Coffey and T.J. Wiggins earned fourth and fifth place respectively with 52.86m (173-5) and 52.47m (172-1) throws.

In the 200-meter dash, Alicia Burnett led the way for the Tigers on the women's side, placing fourth with a time of 23.84. On the men's side, Steven Marks clocked a 21.20 to finish ninth overall. Both athletes secured their second top-10 finish of the meet after also placing in the top 10 in the women's and men's 100-meter dash, respectively, on Friday.
