COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track & field got its 2025 campaign off to a fast start, as 15 Tigers set personal records across nine different events at the Alexis Jarrett Invitational inside Hearnes Center Fieldhouse on Saturday.

TOP TIGERS

Senior Euphenie Andre headlined the opening meet of the campaign as her 13.49m effort in the triple jump set a new personal record. The Dover Plains, New York native now sits second in program history in the event behind Arianna Fisher's triple jump of 14.06m set in 2023 and set a Hearnes Center Fieldhouse facility record in the venue's first competition since 2020.

Senior Sam Innes started the morning with an emphatic effort at weight throw, eclipsing his personal best on four-of-six attempts, ultimately turning in a 22.46m effort which is good for second in program history behind a 22.71m heave by Chris Rohr in 2009. The Columbia  native's mark places him fifth in the country thus far in 2025 as he bested his own record by over two meters.

A 2024 All-American in both the indoor and outdoor seasons, sophomore Sterling Scott wasted no time getting settled into the new year. He set a personal-record 16.28m in the triple jump, ranking third in program history.

Junior Isabella Sokolova was the lone Tiger to claim victories in multiple events Saturday, first managing a 5.76m in the long jump before cruising to gold in the 60m, as her 7.61 dash beat the competition by 0.17.

RECAP

A total of 12 different Tigers picked up event wins while the team occupied 32 total podium placements. In the field events, Innes was joined by junior Petra Gombas to contribute a Mizzou sweep, each picking up convincing victories in the weight throw.

Mizzou would go on to sweep shot put and the mile. Senior Skylar Coffey threw a career-long 18.31m and sophomore Reagan Kimrey managed a 13.60m heave. On the track, a pair of personal bests from seniors Trevor Peimann (4:07.18) and Anneken Viljoen (4:47.67) set the tone for the distance squad.

Senior Claudina Diaz (Merida, Mexico) impressed once again in the high jump by leaping to 1.81m, coming within 0.01 meters of a career high and setting the third-best high jump nationally.

On two occasions, as many as five Tigers set personal bests in the same event. In the women's weight throw, Kimrey, Ames Burton, Kaitlyn Morningstar, Delilah Pippen and Dallas Jenkins each picked up personal records in the weight throw to begin their 2025 campaigns. Meanwhile, the men's 1000m featured personal best from Ethan Lee, Yordanos Zelinski, River Jordan, Colby Revord and Jack Forer.

Other MU victors include freshman Anna Vedral, who led a trio of Tiger pole-vaulters by jumping 3.60m, sophomore Rahel Broemmel, who set a career mark of 2:46.93 in the women's 1000m, and graduate student Alicia Burnett, who won the women's 400m by nearly four seconds with a 55.57 standing.
