
Softball Set to Take on 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri softball team will head back to Cathedral City, California, for the 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, Feb. 20-23.
Following consecutive weekends in Clearwater, Florida, at the 2025 NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic (Feb. 6-9) and the 2025 Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational Presented by EvoShield (Feb. 13-16), Missouri will trek to the Golden State for Week #3.
This season marks the fourth consecutive that Mizzou will compete in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
The Classic will be held at Big League Dreams complex and features 31 teams.
Mizzou's Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic schedule includes matchups against several powerhouse teams, including UCLA (2024 WCWS), Baylor (2024 Super Regionals), and Oregon (2024 Regionals), all of whom made NCAA postseason appearances in 2024. The Tigers will also challenge Rutgers and Minnesota over the weekend.
The Tigers will face former Mizzou NFCA All-Region pitcher Laurin Krings over the Classic, as Krings serves as Minnesota's Director of Player Development.
Besides the Tigers' opponents, the 2025 field includes Arkansas, Bethune Cookman, BYU, Cal-Berkeley, CSU Fullerton, CSUN, Duke, Fresno State, Hawaii, Howard University, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount University, Nebraska, Nevada, Northwestern, Oregon State, Saint Mary's College, San Diego State, San Jose State, Seattle, Tennessee, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Utah, and Washington.

Saturday, Feb. 22 – vs. Oregon – 11:30 a.m., CT (9:30 a.m., PT) - Yankee Stadium
MIZZOU SOFTBALL
Mizzou is coming off another impressive season in 2024, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the 17th consecutive year. The Tigers totaled 48 wins in 2024, their highest total in the program's SEC era and fourth-most in program history.
Head coach Larissa Anderson most recently led the Tigers to a top-10 finish, an NCAA Super Regional appearance and the team's second Southeastern Conference Tournament Championship appearance in three seasons.
Mizzou won four-straight Regional games before competing against Duke in a three-game Columbia Super Regional series.
The Tigers return six starters from the 2024 NCAA Super Regional team including SEC All-Defensive right fielder Kayley Lenger, NFCA All-Region first baseman Abby Hay along with catcher Julia Crenshaw and third baseman Kara Daly.
In the circle, Mizzou returns starters Cierra Harrison and Marissa McCann along with NCAA saves leader Taylor Pannell.

- Mizzou commences its fall campaign by hosting Missouri State Friday (Sept. 27) at the Mizzou Softball Stadium. First pitch is set for 7 p.m., CT for the fall opener.
