
Women's Basketball Looks to Extend Win Streak Against Northern Illinois

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women's basketball looks to extend its three-game win streak against Northern Illinois at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Mizzou Arena. The contest will stream live on SECN+.
Missouri enters the contest following a SEC/ACC Challenge win over SMU on Thursday.
Sophomore guard Grace Slaughter recorded her second career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Abbey Schreacke, who has led Missouri off the bench in eight contests this season tallied 16 points in the win behind four 3-pointers.
Schreacke is tied for fourth nationally with 31 3-pointers this season.
The sophomore also ranks seventh in the SEC in 3-point percentage (41.3).
As a team, the Tigers are second in the conference and 17th nationally in 3-point percentage at 38.6 percent.
Redshirt sophomore guard Averi Kroenke ranks second in the SEC and 10th in the country with a 3.50 assist-to-turnover ratio.
With performances against Wichita State (Nov. 26) and Jacksonville State (Dec. 2) senior forward Laniah Randle became the first Tiger to record consecutive double-doubles since Sara-Rose Smith on Dec. 2 and Dec. 9, 2022.
Northern Illinois enters Saturday at 3-3 following a three-point loss to UIC on Wednesday.
The Huskies finished last season at 15-16 including an 8-10 mark against MAC opponents
Northern Illinois is coached by Lisa Carlsen who is in her 10th season at the helm of the program with a 137-141 record.
The Huskies roster is headlined by sophomore guard Alecia Doyle who is averaging a team-best 13.7 points and 3.7 rebounds.
Senior forward Brooke Stonebraker contributes 11.5 points and 6.5 boards.
The meeting will be the fourth between the programs with Mizzou holding an unblemished 3-0 all-time record, including a perfect 2-0 mark at home.
The teams last met on Dec. 14, 2014, where the Tigers earned a 47-44 win at Mizzou Arena.
