
No. 9 Ranked Wrestling to Host Tiger Style Invite Saturday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - University of Missouri wrestling heads east to host the third annual Tiger Style Invite on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Staley High School in Kansas City. The tournament will host wrestlers from Cal Poly, Little Rock, Maryland, Purdue, and SIUE. Doors open at 9 a.m. CT, with wrestling starting at 10 a.m. CT. INVITE HISTORY
Last season, the Tigers claimed first place with 188.5 points and five individual champions. Brock Mauller at 157 pounds, Keegan O'Toole at 165 pounds and Zach Elam at 285 pounds all claimed their second invite titles last season. Noah Surtin at 125 pounds joined them on top of the podium in 2023.
In addition to five champions, the Tigers had 15 wrestlers place in the top eight at last season's contest. The team championship marked Mizzou's second consecutive first-place finish.
TIGERS TO WATCH
In total, 25 wrestlers will don the Tiger Style singlet this Saturday, with multiple student-athletes competing at nine out of ten weights. Eight ranked Tigers will be in action, featuring Kade Moore (133), Josh Edmond (141), Logan Gioffre (149), James Conway (157), Cam Steed (165), O'Toole (174), Colton Hawks (184), and Seth Nitzel (285).
Edmond, Gioffre, and Hawks will all look to improve on runner-up finishes from last season, while O'Toole will look to become the first wrestler with three Tiger Style Invite championships.
Mack Mauger, Jake Crapps, Jace Roller, Kolten Oborny, Jake Stoffel and Logan Cole will make their collegiate debuts in the third edition of the event.
UP NEXT
The Tigers will again hit the road for their next competition, taking on Virginia Tech on Friday, Nov. 15 in its home facility. Mizzou will look for their first victory in Blacksburg since the 2017-18 season. The dual begins at 6 p.m., and can be streamed on ACC Network.
