University of Missouri men's basketball is back in action for the first time in eight days, hosting Pacific at Mizzou Arena on Friday night. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+.

ABOUT MIZZOU
• Playing its first game in eight days, the Tigers are 3-1 in 2024-25, coming off a record 72-point win against Mississippi Valley State, 111-39.
• Four Tigers average in double figures – Caleb Grill and Tamar Bates lead the way with 13.5 points with Mark Mitchell (12.5) and Anthony Robinson II (10.5) right behind.
• Mitchell also leads MU with 5.3 rebounds per game, while Robinson has a team-best 3.3 assists.
• The Tigers are scoring 86.8 points per game.
 
ABOUT PACIFIC
• The Tigers are 3-3 during the 2024-25 campaign, starting the season with three-straight wins before falling in their last three games.
• Elijah Fisher and Elias Ralph are tied for the team lead with 17.7 points per game.
• Ralph also leads the Tigers with 7.8 rebounds, while Lamar Washington has a team-best 7.7 assists per game.
• Pacific owns a scoring offense of 76.8 points per game.
 
SERIES HISTORY
• The schools are meeting for just the third time and the first in 53 years.
• The home team has won both games in the series with Pacific claiming a victory in 1966 before Mizzou answered with a win in 1971.
 
MIZZOU VERSUS WCC
• The Tigers are playing a West Coast Conference team for just the sixth time in school history and the first time in 20 seasons.
• Overall, Mizzou is just 1-4 versus the conference.
• The Tigers won their last meeting versus a WCC foe, defeating No. 12 Gonzaga inside Mizzou Arena on Dec. 30, 2004.
 
HOME SWEET HOME
• The Tigers are currently in the midst of a 10-game homestand – the longest in MU history.
• The team's previous-long homestand was nine games to start the 2006-07 campaign.
• The Tigers will not play another game outside of Mizzou Arena until Dec. 22 against Illinois.

RECORD WIN
• The highlight of the early season is a record victory over Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 14.
• The Tigers posted a 111-39 win over MVSU with its 72-point victory matching the largest win in MU history.
• Overall, it marked the third time Mizzou posted a 72-point victory – first doing so in 1976 against MacMurray (106-34) before matching the mark in 1995 against Chicago State (117-45).
 
THE NUMBERS BEHIND THE RECORD
• Overall, Mizzou posted numerous bests in years in the win over Mississippi Valley State.
• The Tigers' 111 points are their most since tallying 116 versus Central Arkansas in 2010.
• The 39 points allowed by Mizzou are its fewest in a game under Coach Gates and the fewest overall since Northern Illinois tallied 37 in 2021.
• It was a team effort by the Tigers as Mizzou scored 66 bench points – its second-most in its history and most since 1995.
 
BENCH POINTS
• The Tigers have featured one of the nation's top benches so far during the 2024-25 season.
• Missouri ranks fourth nationally with its reserves scoring 44.5 bench points per game.
• In fact, the MU bench is currently outscoring the starting five, 44.5 to 42.3, through four games.
• Mizzou has scored at least 30 bench points in all four games this season – the first time for the Tigers with four-straight since six-consecutive games to open the 2017-18 campaign.

• The Tigers' high-scoring bench just showcases how many options Mizzou has this season.
• Through four games, the Tigers have had four different players lead the team in scoring.
• Overall, 10 different players have tallied at least 10 points in a game this year. MU is the only SEC school with 10 players to score in double digits this season (Alabama is the only other with nine).
• On Nov. 14, seven players scored in double figures for the Tigers – a first for MU since 2010.
 
ROOKIE DUO
Marcus Allen and Annor Boateng have wasted no time finding a role during their rookie years.
• Both are coming off their first collegiate game in double-digit scoring, tallying 10 versus MVSU.
• It marks the first time the Tigers have had two freshmen score in double digits in the same game since 2021.
