Women's Basketball Dominates Saint Louis, 112-59

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women's basketball earned a dominant victory over Saint Louis 112-59 on Wednesday at Mizzou Arena.
Five Tigers scored in double figures as Missouri tallied their most points in a game since a 120-point total against Bradley on Dec. 8, 2013.
The Tigers were led by sophomore Abbey Schreacke who notched 19 points, knocking down five triples while shooting six-of-10 from the field.
Senior Laniah Randle added 15 points, a season-high, and seven rebounds. Randle has recorded double-digit points in five of her six games this season.
Sophomore Grace Slaughter recorded 14 points on four-of-10 shooting and three rebounds in the Missouri effort.
Missouri locked down defensively to begin the contest holding Saint Louis scoreless for the first three minutes. The Tigers started the game hot offensively as senior Nyah Wilson buried a step-back jumper that ignited a 19-4 Missouri run to begin the game.
Five Tigers scored in the offensive charge which was capped off at the free-throw line by sophomore Hannah Linthicum. With the early production, Missouri led 23-11 at the end of the quarter,
Missouri kept it rolling with an 8-0 run to begin the second period with baskets from Slaughter, graduate student Angelique Ngalakulondi, and a fast-break finish from Randle.
Later in the frame, junior Ashton Judd scored seven straight points for the Tigers to give Missouri a 55-27 lead at the break.
The halftime advantage marked the first time the Tigers led by 28 or more points since they held a 31-point halftime lead over Omaha on Dec. 9, 2022.
Missouri crossed the 50-point threshold in the first half for the first time since Nov. 20, 2023, against Southern Indiana.
Slaughter started the second half strong, scoring seven points for Missouri within the first two minutes of play. Randle continued the offensive momentum with two consecutive baskets.
Schreacke totaled eight points in the quarter, including two 3-pointers.
The Tigers kept up their aggressive defense, keeping Saint Louis to 10 points in the third quarter while claiming 28 for themselves as they held a 55-27 lead at the conclusion.
Entering the fourth quarter, Missouri continued to shoot well from beyond the arc, with triples from Schreacke and graduate student De'Myla Brown on three straight possessions. Freshman Londyn Oliphant added to the Tiger scoring effort with three-straight baskets, notching the first points of her collegiate career.
The Tigers shot 53 percent from the field and 46 percent from beyond the arc compared to the Billikens' 30 percent from the field and 25 percent from 3-point.
The Tigers forced 24 turnovers, notching 15 steals, while turning the ball over only 10 times, a season-low. Missouri scored 31 points off turnovers to Saint Louis' eight.
Missouri grabbed a season-high in boards, outrebounding Saint Louis 49-36.
